Peraton is proud to be recognized by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) with the Large Business of the Year award. This award is allocated to a large business who supports JPL Small Business Programs activities, exhibits outstanding performance in contractual requirements, and participates in small business outreach events in support of NASA’s missions.
“JPL and Peraton have enjoyed a strong partnership enabling space exploration over the past two decades,” said Roger Mason, Ph.D., president, Space & Intelligence sector, Peraton. “A key element to this success is our ability to bring the best of industry to the missions. Empowering small businesses is both embedded into the fabric of our company and an integral piece of what sets us apart.”
Peraton previously won a competitive subcontract to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory with a total contract value of the $513.5 million at the end of last year. The company has a history with DSN dating back to 2004 – including helping the James Webb Space Telescope communicate across the cosmos, linking mankind and the moon, and supporting the Perseverance rover on Mars.
“We are honored to be recognized for the work Peraton and our small business partners invest each day in support of civil and nation security space,” said Bill Mertz, chief procurement officer, Peraton. “Our focus on mentoring and partnering with small businesses from the local markets has allowed us to combine industry expertise with tailored customer understanding to deliver innovations at the scale of the galaxy.”
