On Friday, July 26, Peraton will celebrate National Disability Day. The company recently earned a score of 100 on the Disability Equality Index (DEI).
“This significant milestone underscores our steadfast commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace for all individuals,” said Laila Salguero, chief diversity equity and inclusion officer at Peraton.
Globally, people with disabilities represent 1.3 billion individuals. Disability is a natural part of the human experience, and it crosses lines of age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and other demographics.
“At Peraton, we recognize the diversity within disability and are dedicated to fostering an environment where every person can thrive,” said Salguero.
According to the Disability Equality Index, “achieving a score of 100 does not reflect perfection. It simply means that our company has implemented many of the forward-thinking disability inclusion practices featured in the Disability Equality Index and reflects our ongoing efforts to promote diversity, and accessibility across all aspects of our organization.”
This accolade would not have been possible without the employees, partners, and stakeholders who have contributed to Peraton’s DEIA commitment.
“Together, we will continue to champion disability inclusion and pave the way for a more inclusive world where everyone can achieve their full potential,” said Salguero. “Thank you for joining us in celebrating National Disability Day and our commitment to building a more inclusive future.”
