Steve Schorer is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience successfully leading world-class government technology services, defense electronics, and aerospace companies.
He currently serves as Chairman, President, and CEO of Peraton.
Prior to Peraton, Steve Schorer most recently served as the Chairman and CEO of Alion Science and Technology from 2017-2021, a leading provider of advanced engineering and R&D services to the global defense marketplace. There, he led the strategic transformation and dramatic growth of the business that resulted in its successful sale to Huntington Ingalls Industries in 2021.
Prior to Alion, Steve served as President of DynCorp International and was instrumental in the early buildout of L-3 Communications as a public company and the exponential growth of DRS Technologies prior to DRS’ successful sale to Finmeccanica.
Steve has also worked for Allied Signal Aerospace, Lockheed Missiles and Space, Raytheon, and Hughes Aircraft. Steve previously served as a Director of Camber Corporation, Erickson Inc., and the National Defense University Foundation.
Steve is a two-time recipient of Executive Mosaic’s GovCon Wash100 Award, which recognizes the most influential figures in the GovCon sector.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He completed executive management programs at the Anderson School of Executive Management, University of California, Los Angeles, and the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix.
