Peraton has been awarded a contract to support the Electronic Document Management (EDM) system for the Defense Finance & Accounting Service (DFAS). The EDM enables DoD personnel to access, manage, and store data within a secure, digital environment, which increases decision making capacity and improves efficiency.
Under this contract, Peraton will provide production support, hardware and software maintenance/support, system analysis, design services, and system improvement. With a diverse background in systems analysis, software engineering, and project management, the team is well-equipped to handle the complexities of the DFAS environment. Their collective experience managing large-scale data systems and implementing innovative solutions positions them as a trusted partner in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the EDM.
“We are honored to bring our extensive expertise to support DFAS on this vital project,” said Tarik Reyes, president, Defense Mission & Health Solutions sector, Peraton. “This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to excellence in service delivery, ensuring that the DFAS can effectively manage its financial data in a rapidly evolving landscape.”
The company will also provide continual validation of the EDM system and documentation, network topology, and all pertinent documentation in support of the EDM. This expertise is crucial for navigating the unique challenges posed by government data management and ensuring that all deliverables meet stringent regulatory and security standards.
This initiative aligns closely with the broader mission of supporting the government’s operational efficiency and strategic objectives, including coding changes, systems analysis and enhancements. Peraton will contribute to a more streamlined and effective process for DoD personnel, ultimately leading to improved decision-making capabilities and resource management. The enhancements will not only facilitate better access to critical data but also lay the foundation to support current EDM production systems and future efforts to integrate Electronic Document Technology and Electronic Business (EB) into DFAS business processes.
