As part of its longstanding partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Peraton helped modernize the agency’s digital communications platform and relaunch the website. This work was recently recognized in the 2024 Digital Health Transformation Awards hosted by GOVTECH CONNECTS. These awards honor Federal and Military Health IT programs that are harnessing the power of emerging technologies to advance their missions and spotlight the dedicated teams behind this groundbreaking work. The new CDC.gov has also been recognized with three additional awards: Davey Awards Gold and Silver awards for Best Practices, Website Redesign, and Best User Experience; w3 Awards Gold and Silver awards for Government Websites and Website Features; and the National Association of Government Web Professionals Pinnacle Award.
“The relaunch was a large modernization project that involved totally recreating CDC’s website by streamlining content, making the site structure more consistent, improving the user experience, and putting content management in the hands of content owners,” said Tarik Reyes, president, Defense Mission & Health Solutions sector, Peraton. “This is a huge win for the public who look to CDC for critical, credible public health content, and it dramatically helps the public health and subject matter experts who make this information available.”
Peraton’s team has supported the CDC for more than two decades, including extensive work in support of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tune in on Nov. 12 to hear the latest podcast episode on Peraton’s work with the CDC and the evolution of public health.
