Peraton’s Delivery Excellence Group (DEG) has received the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) V2.2 Maturity Level 3 rating for Development. The company’s Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) program, under the Space & Intelligence sector and member of Peraton’s DEG, also received the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) V2.2 Capability Level 3 rating for Development.
CMMI is an industry-recognized improvement framework that provides organizations with the essential elements of effective processes that ultimately improve their performance and effectiveness.
Peraton’s DEG is an enterprise resource that enables the delivery of highest quality assurance for member organizations, like the SENSE program. The DEG, with 6 programs participating, received the Level 3 CMMI rating for applying engineering best practices that maximize productivity, innovation, and service to customers. The DEG is responsible for sustaining and implementing processes and practices that signify lower risks to successful program execution.
Peraton’s Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution (SENSE) program also received the CMMI® V2.2 Capability Level 3 rating for Development. The appraisal process scrutinized the SENSE software development governance and engineering processes to verify the highest level of quality products.

SENSE provides full lifecycle communications and tracking services to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) while identifying and implementing architectural improvements to gain efficiencies and optimization. Through SENSE, Peraton is able to partner with NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, and the space community to support Exploration and Space Communications programs and their vision for tomorrow’s space communications and navigation services.
