Peraton is proud to announce the opening of a new office at Capital Factory, the technology accelerator located inside Port San Antonio’s innovation center. As one of the largest cyber and information warfare hubs in the U.S., this expansion affirms Peraton’s commitment to the region and broader national security strategy. The new facility, located in the heart of the Port of San Antonio, will fuel synergies with federal agencies, industry, academia, and San Antonio’s tech corridor.
“Peraton is thrilled to be a member of the San Antonio tech community where we can bring our experience as a mission capability integrator and long-time mission partner to further support the U.S. Air Force and the Intelligence Community,” said Tom Afferton, president, Cyber Mission sector, Peraton. “This location enables collaboration with mission stakeholders at the speed of the need unencumbered by physical distance.”
Peraton brings a broad array of cyberspace capabilities and expertise in supporting both offensive and defensive cyber operations to maximize the speed, scale, and reliability of mission systems; provide real-time threat detection; synchronize cross-domain effects; and optimize Joint All-Domain Command & Control.
Peraton achieves these objectives by leveraging the latest technological innovations. This includes:
- Digital Transformation and Infrastructure Modernization.
- Distributed high-speed cloud computing.
- Zero-trust architecture.
- Human-machine collaborative networks.
- Operational implementation of large language models and vision models.
- Generative artificial intelligence.
The new facility expands on Peraton’s existing commitment to the city, supporting the Defense Health Agency in the Port of San Antonio, and its partnership with the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA)’s National Security Collaboration Center (NSCC). The UTSA is one of the few universities in the nation to hold all three National Center of Excellence designations from the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security. As part of the research and workforce development agreement through the NSCC, UTSA faculty, researchers, and students are directly engaged with Peraton experts on practical and applied research programs tied to national security challenges across the cyber and information operations domains.
The company has also invested in the San Antonio community by supporting the local Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) chapter and sponsoring the annual Alamo AFCEA Chapter Event (Alamo ACE). With over 900 employees in the state, Peraton plans to hire more over the coming months to meet the increasing demands of national security.
