Peraton will again be the title sponsor for the 2025 Peraton Armed Forces Classic, which for the first time will feature a matchup between women’s college basketball teams, the University of Connecticut and the University of Louisville, two powerhouse programs.
The 2022 Peraton Armed Forces Classic was played on the deck of the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln, and in this premier men’s college basketball matchup, Gonzaga prevailed in a last-minute thriller against Michigan State. The excitement and pageantry of this event will now carry forward to Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, where the Connecticut and Louisville women’s teams will square off.
“Veterans and their families deserve our never-ending respect and gratitude for serving our nation, and I am honored to be part of Peraton’s concerted efforts, working with ESPN and other partners, to sponsor incredible events to celebrate these heroic individuals, who have given so much to promote and protect our freedom,” said Jim Winner, Peraton’s Chief Legal Officer and Air Force Veteran.
The Peraton Armed Forces Classic is part of ESPN’s America’s Heroes: Salute to Veterans initiative, which features a week of programming dedicated to honoring Veterans Day. While the classic is held to honor our dedicated military personnel and veterans, the 2025 edition adds a well-deserved celebration of the growing prominence of women’s sports across the world.
