As sector president, Gus has full executive responsibility for the sector’s strategy development and execution, program performance, and growth objectives, and for ensuring alignment of Peraton’s strategic technology investment portfolio with customers’ future mission requirements. The Defense and Electronic Warfare sector will serve as the research and development (R&D) arm of Peraton, developing and delivering mission-tailored solutions to defense customers, from basic R&D through operational programs. This sector will consolidate all current and future internal and customer R&D programs in support of the Department of Defense laboratories, as well as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Agency (IARPA).
Gus has more than 30 years of experience, most recently serving as vice president and general manager of Peraton’s former Advanced Solutions organization, where he led efforts focused on mission support to intelligence and Department of Defense customers. Earlier in his career, Gus served in a series of leadership roles at Harris Corporation, Exelis, and ITT. With his extensive experience designing and developing state-of-the-art RF, microwave, and high-speed broadband SIGNIT collection systems, he was responsible for a broad range of development and services programs and products involving cyber technologies, critical networks, communication systems, and electromagnetic spectrum management.
Gus is a contributor to numerous publications. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University, a bachelor’s in mathematics from Saint Vincent College, and executive education from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
