Chief Contracts Officer

Szu Yang is Peraton’s Chief Contracts Officer (CCO) and Senior Vice President. She is responsible for the full lifecycle of contracts management, oversight, compliance, and the quality organization to further the company’s business goals. A member of Peraton’s executive team since its founding, Ms. Yang has identified how an efficient, technologically advanced contracts and quality function can drive and support greater organizational success.

Ms. Yang is an accomplished contracts leader with over 25 years of experience building high-functioning teams for private and public companies in the government contracting space. Prior to joining Peraton, Ms. Yang was the vice president of Contracts and Procurement of The KeyW Corporation, vice president of Contracts of Sotera Defense Solutions, and assistant vice president/director of Contract Operations at SAIC and Leidos.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Yang has led multiple mergers, acquisitions, and integrations, as well as divestitures of contract organizations. Most recently, she was part of Peraton’s executive management team when it acquired ViON’s as-a-Service business, Perspecta, and Northrop Grumman’s federal IT and mission support services business in 2021 to create a $7 billion national security company.

Beyond her role as CCO, Ms. Yang serves as the executive sponsor of Peraton’s Women’s Impact Network (WIN) – one of the company’s five employee resource group. WIN aims to foster an inclusive workforce by providing professional and personal growth opportunities to enable women to contribute, connect, collaborate, and support one another. Ms. Yang was recognized by the Virginia Business magazine as one of 30 women leaders who stand out in Virginia’s corporate world in 2021, as contracts executive of the year (private company) in 2022 by WashingtonExec, and a featured speaker on Federal News Network’s Leading Voices in Federal Contract Management.

Ms. Yang earned a bachelor’s in business administration from American University and a master’s in business administration from Marymount University.
